It’s a fair point - going back to first principles, what has changed? You have discounted the fuel pump, injectors and stale fuel from the car standing for a while. I love them, and I have to say that whilst very non standard, I do love that wheel / colour combo.

A chap in the nearby town has one in Gulf blue, and I often walk the dog past there hoping to have a chat with him about it

Bad luck Mark - at least you went down fighting. Once the niggle is found, at least you will have a more reliable car as a result of everything you have done. Small consolation now I guess

Not really Neil. The slicks are reasonably progressive in terms of letting you know what is going on, but the risk with a Boxster is that they grip and grip until they don’t any more, and then it is like a spinning top and very difficult to catch. What fuel is it? E5 or E10? E10 is known to degrade as quickly as 1 month - it is worth adding some fresh as stake fuel won’t help, but it should still play a tune….
