Re: House of Karmann

I can’t remember where you are Greg but I run 4 sets of staggered 17s (all twists) in my race car so have wheels available to take and test fit if it helps. Am in Notts.

Looking forward to seeing this come together - it’s going to be awesome

Cheers
Wayne

Re: Spare junk M-caliper long bolts/nuts anybody?

I am in East Notts if it helps. Happy for you to borrow mine as long as it’s not for too long - pre season checks can spring surprises! PM me if it helps, cheers, Wayne

I put a tiny smear of grease on the pins just to stop them season and to help the pads release - just the tiniest smear. I also use brembo anti squeal grease in the back face of the pads. It is worth investing in a po...

Re: Porsche for sale of the day..........

I remember Martin as I bought some bits off him for the 914, and visited his house - he had a very cool car collection and was building a lovely Ghia for his wife. It was down south somewhere IIRC, whereas that pic is taken about 3 miles from where I live now. Wonder how that came about Sent from my...

Re: House of Karmann

I was thinking in swing axle terms too, but I guess there won’t be any camber from an IRS set up, other than a degree or so you would dial in

Re: My old Speedster Rep

Have some great memories of that car. My best mate of 30+ years and fellow hill climber David Hilton built it in his Gran’s garage from one of Barrie’s early shells. We put the type 4 engine in it and got it running on his 30th birthday (we took the day off) then retired to the pub…..A few days late...

Re: Your Porsche pic of the day......

It’s not for sale…..phew, awkward conversation avoided then!

I am struggling to see what it is supposed to be apart for one man’s vision. I can see there is a poor embarrassed 996 in there, on its way to a fancy dress party that it doesn’t want to go to…..
