Re: Bouncy front end !
Hi all So I am surprised that I originally sent off the initial message about a 'bouncy front end' in Jan 22 - since then I have spent several months in several hospitals and luckily come out of a serious medical problem, in sort of one piece! That is when you appreciate what you have! So back to th...

Re: Koni steering damper for RHD 356A with VW steering box
Hi
I am sure that when I upgraded the steering box on my 1957 356A T1 from VW to ZF, that I used a fresh version of the steering damper that I had before
Regards Jeremy

Re: Flat 4 Drive 25 Sep 10am
Hi Maybe this should be in the 356 section to get a few more responses ? I am hoping to attend the Classics at the Castle but might only just make it so an additional day away might not work for me, mores the pity as I have always wanted to take part in a Flat 4 Drive out. Fingers crossed I see you ...

Re: Bouncy front end !
Hi It is a while since I highlighted the issue with the bouncing front end I have certainly improved things with: greasing up all the nipples and front suspension adjusting the king and link pins checking the shocks and tightening everything up All was going well with just a bit of bounciness that I...

Re: Bouncy front end !
Thanks for your responses I think I will try one turn from softest and test drive and keep moving to the header setting until I find a suitable ride setting. I know that the shocks work, while they were off I put them to full harness and could not compress them manually but could when set to softest...

Re: Bouncy front end !
Morning everyone So I have been busy since all your emails and suggestions I jacked up the car and checked for any play with the wheels. I found the offside had a little play in the the kingpin which I have cinched up - no play now. I also greased up all suspension parts too. I then removed the shoc...

Re: Bouncy front end !
Thanks for all your comments - it is really appreciated I did have the tyres on 26psi but there was still this bounciness hence why I checked the Longstone website and was a little surprised by the low pressure guidance. I still have the Michelins so might do a test run with those on - that would th...

Bouncy front end !
Hi all Looking for suggestions: About 18 months ago I replaced my quite hard Michelin's for Pirelli Centuratos - the grip is certainly improved and gives more confidence in faster cornering however the front seems to have become quite bouncy - I have checked the tyre pressures and adjusted them to t...

Re: GT Seat questions
Hi Ian I hope you are safe and well ? I think I need to pop over in the new year to have a sit in your 356 !! Your interior is exactly what I want to do with Silvia. As long as the speedster seats work for me !! I already have the oatmeal carpet set / rubber mats and coco mats ! I think those seats ...

Re: KS's hillclimbing odyssey
Great bit of nostalgia for a Wednesday !!
I loved No Mercy however I really liked the orange fastback
I still have the video of the 'grudge match' race between your fastback and the red 1303 !! both of you trying to look menacing when interviewed - very entertaining !!
Good times

Re: 356 Speedster Flat6 outlaw build
Replica Porsche Parts have some after market door seals that might do the trick
It looks as if they are primarily for additional sealing for the bottom of 356 doors so might work
Worth checking out their website
