Thanks Andy. Did you use the same bracket to attach the receiver the other side of the seat, the inside?

Success. The car can now change gear. I put the car into gear and rocked the car, but that still did not work. So contacted my mechanic who popped round and he was a bit more forceful with putting it into gear, which worked. Took the car for a run and all good. The next thing is the fuel gauge has s...
