Re: 1972 Oel Klappe question

My car started life as a U.K. delivered RHD 1972 911 E coupe. It is an Oel Klappe and even though it’s now a steel arched 74 RS rep it still has the flap in the rear wing. I was wondering how rare the base model car actually is? I’m not planning on restoring it back to orginal spec but was interest...

Re: Off topic watch chat for the horologists out there

Sea Dwellers are some what of an addiction for me, I’ve probably had 30 over the years. This is the perfect pair; birth year, matte dial 16660 and 2016 Ceramic 116600.

Yes this car has been a race car since the late 70’s so hasn’t seen salty roads!

Re: Off topic watch chat for the horologists out there

I’ve also just re-purchased this, a 70’s Bundeswehr military issued Heuer. I hassled a friend to sell it to me for a few years, then owned it for a few years and then sold it back to him!! What a ridiculous hobby this is!!

Not sure you will pass the ‘MOT exempt’ with that spec if I’m honest….I’d just get it MOTd if ai was you to be safe….
Interesting! Do you still have them?

It is getting MOT’d shortly!

Re: 1972 now 74 RS

I’ve also bought some rennline floor plates and eyeing up a wevo shifter and REPA harnesses. The plan is to carpet it in the correct style carpet and fit RS door cards. I’ve also collected all of these…… https://i.imgur.com/CStw27t.jpg https://i.imgur.com/vCjoPUv.jpg And it will look like this…. htt...

Sure is! Tax and MOT exempt, recently had some pressed metal silver/black plates made up.
