914 Engine Gearbox Webers - complete

Hi, I have a non-seized GB (euro) spec 2.0L 914 engine, gearbox and 40idf Webers for sale. I acquired this back in 2011 together with a Cali project rolling shell but never intended to use it as I wanted to install a 6cyl motor. The engine wasn't 'plugged-in' at the time of purchase so I have never ...

Engine number mystery!

Hi everyone, I haven't been on here for a while having sold my 914 projects a while ago. I did hang onto an engine & gearbox and a set of Webers with the aim of one day building a 718 Replica. Well - I can't see myself doing that now either - gulp! I'm now more into more affordable 2-wheel human...

914 3.0L 6cyl + 914 project + lots of parts

Hi! The time has come to let my 914s go. I had big plans but a lack of time, space and funds means I need to move them on to someone that can get them to the standard they deserve. So what have I got?.. First is a ’74 car with a ’79 3.0SC 6-cyl CIS motor. It’s got some really nice parts on it too..h...

Thinking of selling my 'collection'!!

Hi Everyone, I've been off the radar for a few years. 3 moves & 3 jobs in as many years, the main move being from one end of the county to the other. Now I just don't really have the time or the space to complete what I set out to do with my 914s sadly. So I'm toying with the idea of moving them...

Re: 914 2.0 > 3.0 GT Conversion

Watching with interest...I have a very similar project also on hold - life getting in the way etc.. (GT Tribute with a 3.0SC motor).

Good luck with it all.. :)

Re: 914 and 914/6 wanted for photo shoot

Great article and pictures, but can somebody please point me in the right direction for a project 914/6 for between £6-10K or an 'on the road' car for £20K as I can't find any  Is that really what it says?! Where do they get their info from!! You'd think a mag like that would do its homework! ...

Cambridge Recommendations...

Hi, Sorry, I know this kind of thing gets asked a lot.. :| Moved to Cambridge around six months ago with my 3.0SC engined 914. It's been in storage for a while and not driven as much as I'd like to have over the summer and it needs a bit of a health check... I'm looking for recommendations of indy P...

Re: Rebuild update

:) Hi Andrew, Been a while - really sorry to hear about your illness but glad to hear you're improving. Car looks great btw- you've come a long way with it. Wish I could say the same about mine! We moved from up-North to down-South-ish round Christmas - although the car stayed-put in storage and has...

Ummm, no not really! Chuck some flares on it, original bumper and wheels! Ah, the joys of 914s...everyone likes them in different ways!

Re: Project übermächtig vier

I like those seats and I have similar-ish bucket seats in my 914. They are great, until its time to get in or out of them! There is a reason Porsche fitted the 914 with seats that had no sides! If you are flexible or not prone to putting your back out easily you might be fine  I am contemplati...

Re: Getting 74 CIS engine to fit!!!! Help Please

Would love to see pics if you figure out how to post them...there is a 'tutorial' on how to do it somewhere on the site. You'll need photobucket or similar account setup ideally. I will be running into similar engine mounting issues 'soonish'. I do like the idea of negating the CIS clearance issues ...
