turbo/EFI costs
I am still waiting for my final cost based on the spec we have decised but it could be anything from $10000 to $12500 (guestimate) or around £6K which sounds a lot but I reckon a hot carbd motor turnkey over here will be around the same.

Hi Bob
Good to see you found DDK at last - can I steal your 2.4 for this!
We need to hook up and talk cars soon, fancy a night in not so sunny Blackford, bring the new belle and we can consume a wee dram or 50

914 turbo
I am in the process of finalising my new engine for my 14, toyed with the scooby idea and decided that it would sacrafice all the good points of a 914, then went to a 6 but decided that was too much work. I ended up speaking to my good friend at performance lab in the US (he built my 2161 for my ghi...

steering column switches
I just retro fitted 924 column switches to my 914 i.e. indicator and wiper stalks. Same fitting same plugs but the advantage is you can wire an electric washer pump to the spare terminal and have this operated off the stalk

oil warning light
Having just got my 914 (4) on the road and through its MOT, I was driving to work this morning and the oil light flickered on when rounding a roundabout (slowly I may add!) and then again at a another corner. There is enough oil in the car so I am a little concerned, the reason it ended up off the r...
