Engine enthusiasts needed for opinion

Hi everyone, I wondered if you could all put your opinion in on an argument a friend and i are having. In my porsche rep i have a 1776cc engine with twin 36 dellorto carbs, engle cam, stainless ported, polished valves etc etc, Imagine a very well tuned 98bhp 1.8 aircooled engine with little expense ...

Wolverhampton Aircooled????

Hi all,

I need someone to do a tune up on my car. 1776 aircooled with twin dellorto carbs. But finding anyone who makes any sense seems impossible!

Anyone got any suggestions? Would love to get it done tomorrow.

Thanks

Steve

Steve, cant believe you got away without the tension bar fitted. Surely your windscreen lifted at high speed and leaked. Brian it's the bar that your rear view mirror attaches to in question. Don't worry yours has one, so don't panic It was an ongoing build really, As long as the Windscreen posts w...

Thanks

Windscreen centre post

Hello All, Does anyone know where to get a windscreen centre post? Im getting the feeling that the centre of my windscreen may lift without it. Probably worrying for nothing, but i want one now. Chesil are taking a long time to come up with the part. Vintage Speedsters will take a few weeks to get i...

Is there a DDK meeting?

Im still tempted to 'break down' in the entrance.

haha, brilliant!!
Amazing what a bit of decorum and sense can do!

I read last years thread on it too, seems like some people need to put their handbags away and realise we all love the same brand of car and anything associated with it. Even if we 'just drive an old VW'.

POST 73' !!!!

I think they need to redefine their 'Classic' age status.

Im sure my 1981 280 Capri would be considered classic these days, seeing as i have just insured a 1995 BMW 5 series on CLASSIC CAR INSURANCE!!

I feel like going and 'breaking down' in their entrance. haha
