Darren, yours is correct. The pressing was for the 72 only oil tank flap release handle & cable. 72 models had the oil fill in the offside rear wing. For the 73 model this feature was dropped & the oil tank fill was returned back to the engine bay, but the b pillar pressing were continued t...

Looking good John! Whats the deal with that door post/oil tank pull comment? looks like the new rear wing has the pressing for the 72 oil tank pull in the door post. I assume the original would not have had this. I think I will have to over look this, its not the end of the world. Kind Regar...

Evening All,

Just wanted to flag this request again with the hope that someone possessing info may have missed it when first posted.

Pictures can now be seen on my resto thread with details of original spec etc.

Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Good luck with the project Siim - it look likes you're at a similar point as myself.

Unfortunately I don't have your restoration skills so most of my work will be placed with recommended (and trusted) professionals - at least until the money runs out!!!!

All the best,
Darren

After 10 glorious days spent with family and friends in sunny Crete, eating (lots), diving (lots) and drinking (lots more!) it's time to crack back on with the project with a busy week planned..... The trailer I borrowed previously wasn't exactly road worthy and with no one hiring them locally and m...

Thanks John,

If you don't mind i'm just going to copy everything you've done on my project (or at least try) - if I can reach the same high standard i'll be one happy boy! :)

BTW - thanks to everyone else who have added their comments to your thread - these tips are invaluable.

Cheers,
Darren

John / Alan,

Can you tell me what process was used for the etch priming, was it just a conventional process or it was it dipped/charged in any way?

Many thanks,
Darren

Thanks John,

It was you that provided the encouragement and your thread that totally changed the direction I was going and I'm really thankful for that.

Looking forward to seeing how your car progresses and hope I can reach an equally high standard.

All the best,
Darren

Thanks Andy,

I do have a CoA and listed details on my restoration thread this morning.

I'd be grateful if you could look at this and interested to know how accurate you think it may be?

Cheers,
Darren

CoA confirms original spec as: 911 E Coupe Sportomatic Light Ivory / 1111 Black leatherette, seat inlays pepita Stabilizer front and rear 15mm, 3-point safety belts, rear apron, additional high beam lam...

Thanks,
