Re: 911 Rear Fender Delivery Status

Are current Porsche LWB front wings better quality than Dansk? I need to order pair and some say Dansk are better but hard to believe.

squirdan: Do you happen to have any photos and noise result of the exhaust mufflers you are using? I have 3.5 with 993 heat exchangers together with M&K R-muffler on my -87. It's way too loud for some of the local tracks so I need to find bolt on solution. Limit is 95db at 4500 but normally they...

Good looking heads you have. Are those ported too? I believe it's not recommended to boat tail magnesium cases as those are pretty weak already. Mike: do you know current price range for 3.0 Carrera/3.0 turbo bare case? I have been looking one for quite some time but no luck yet. One is available in...

Nice work on rear trailing arms. Black powder coat is actually very good idea. I will replace my steel ones with ally so could you share more photos/details regarding brake caliper mount? Did you just test fit rotors and calipers to find correct location? Or did you have 930 trailing arms to compare...

Thank you MikeB. I have no plans to build any FIA spec car now (read no budget) but I would like to keep this door open if I change my mind someday. If I will example build new engine someday near future I would like to use FIA accepted parts like engine case, rods, pistons etc. Where I can find exa...

Related to original question, how the car will be inspected? How for example LSD or connecting rods are verified? Can you actully use third party manufacturer on some of the parts like Guard Transmission for LSD or Pauter for rods? Just curious to know how unambiguously homologation papers are follo...

Very nice RSR and engine with real 2.8 RSR parts, kind of daydream. Are the front arches real deal or something else? mrg3.6 and rvzz: What size of TB15 you are running on 9/11"? Is 23/62-15 too narrow for 11" or do you have 29/61-15 on rear? I have set of Fuchs with very old tyres. These ...

And were the pressed steel ones just delayed or did you...

Nice project you have! I have similar plans for my 73 tub except mine will not have historic pass. Too many newer parts including engine and gearbox. I believe there will be change for appendix K regarding 8 point cage. Not valid here in Finland yet as our regulations here follows FIA book with some...

Option code for this tank should be 424. Most likely it's not fitted by the factory for this car. Tank is stamped 10/1972. I think I will replace it with aluminium racing tank for safety.

Kurz Hessental KG fuel tank as option -73?

My 911t project car has Kurz Hessental KG plastic tank part number T01-029 0172. I made quick seach with google and it seems that this is 85l tank. Was it really optional part from factory in 1973 as stated on this sale ad? http://www.early911sregistry.org/forums/showthread.php?59969-Original-Plasti...

Help to extract M432, M470 and M477 option codes

I'm pretty new with early cars, only one month with 911t. Right after deal was made i ordered local COA seen below. I have searched option codes and M402/M404 are clear (still in car). I'm not going to restore this car back to original as it's such a mess - not matching numbers, impact bumpers, turb...

My first post here. I've been lurking your projects and this is very nice forum. Currently I have two 911. -87 with G50. http://img834.imageshack.us/img834/1665/ahvenistophotobysamia.jpg And not so original 911t -73. This is project car what I bought one month ago. http://img233.imageshack.us/img233...
