Make a template & measure thickness of glass. Order some genuine Plexiglass off ebay for about 30 quid. Cut it out & round the edges with some 240 & 400 grade sandpaper.
I did this with my old 57A, it looked spot on & saved weight.

Purchase made. 1994 C2 in Grand Prix White from Paul Stephens. 84K, Sports seats & full 6 month warranty. Just featured on he front of Porsche & 911 world. It was the best & most original in the price range I'd seen. Got a bit off the price which helped seal the deal. Collect it in two w...

Re: Considering buying a 993 - advice welcome!
Thanks for the input! My rationale is that even despite loving my 356 I can’t put my pride & joy in it safely - my 2 1/2 year old boy. I know the 993 is still a compromise & no people carrier but it’s safer in the sense it has ‘proper’ 3 point belts. Yes I’m still looking. Viewed 6 cars now ...

Re: Considering buying a 993 - advice welcome!
Again some great tips - thanks. I appreciate the advice, I really want RHD for practicality & it must be manual. Viewed a 96 vario manual coupe on Sunday, had a few nice bits & was priced well at 38k. However there was no service history, just pictures of it in the advert. I offered him 36 w...

356 Zenith 28-32 NDIX carburettors with manifolds & filters.
As per title. These are untested by myself however they appear to be complete & are very clean nothing seems seized or stuck. The carb bodies are very clean, the bases have been painted black, the banjo screws are there & the threads aren't stripped in the carb tops. One of the idle adjustme...

Some sound advice - thanks.
I wont be taking the step lightly although I have now sold my 356 so the ball is in motion. I'll continue doing my homework in the mean time.
Thanks
Gill.

Considering buying a 993 - advice welcome!
As above... The boy is getting older & putting him in the 356 isn’t viable. So I’m considering selling it & buying a C2 manual ‘coupe’. I would consider a 964 but it’s the 993 I really desire. Read a fair bit about top ends, mileage, smoke, rust, wiring loom recalls, service costs etc. Anymo...

Re: Handle
Also happened to me, I was totally unaware & fortunately when I cranked the engine over the wife was stood behind the car & unluckily for her got covered in fuel being pushed out of the exhaust, luckily for me it didn't hydraulic lock.

Re: DCNF webber 40s
I had a set on a 1600 VW type 1. Super easy to set up & very forgiving with the jetting, unlike IDF Webers.
