Re: Period lolipop seats

Hi A massively speculative long shot I know on the revival of an ancient thread, but are these seats still available by any chance?
If so could you send me a PM with details please?

Many thanks

Re: RHD conversion to a longhood 911/912

Sorry to revive an old thread but I am just getting my car back on the road after a long spell dormant in my garage. I am completely with Hillclimber on all points. You see my car is a 1973 shell with turbo arches and one of the afore mentioned Club Autos LHD to RHD conversions. I bought this in 198...

Re: 911 parts for sale incl ex 911R project - updated 21st J

Ok thanks for the reply. My car is in no shape of form a concourse restoration, so I think new seats would be out of place in a basically age worn car. I have owned the car since 1987, so it has had a colourful life and has earned its patina of age. I am getting it back on the road again after a num...

Re: 911 parts for sale incl ex 911R project - updated 21st J

Probably a long shot but would you happen to have or know about a pair of nicely worn in period bucket seats suitable for an RS recreation that I am trying to get back on the road for spring/summer?

Re: Funnies from up front

Brilliant first heard of these as responses to helicopter pilots during Vietnam War.

Flight engineers had a very poor opinion of pilots who were only there to wreck the helicopters they were trying to maintain

Re: Now there's a project...

Quite a lot of potential I would say especially if youy can do most of the donkey work yourself. Lots of dodgy welding to undo and do properly (Guy Martin would be well impressed) However with time effort and patience it could be a very nice car. Labour rates if done professionally though could be a...

Re: Market value for Porsche books

If the John Starkey book is The Racing Porsches R to RSR and is a Foulis Motoring book published in 1987 by Haynes ISBN number 0-85429-604-2 then it is worth anything from £150 to what ever a buyer will pay

Re: Is this a lot for a lancia?

I would say yes for a Stradale (road) version Bonhams had a genuine group 4 version but with no significant motorsport history in their Februry that made £276000 if it had history especially championship winning drivers you could double or even treble that
