Re: Excellent 3.2
It’s been more like 15 years since you could get an exceptional 3.2 for £30k. A friend sold his silver 40k miler for over £90k pre covid.

Re: Porsche for sale of the day..........
I remember being surprised to find out it was legal and common practice here, I wondered whether it may have been challenged in the US as they like a bit of legal action even more than we do. Lots of stuff like that though, that would possibly be ruled illegal if it ever got to court. Trading standa...

Re: Porsche for sale of the day..........
Is it legal to take bids off the wall under the reserve in the US? If so maybe it was that.

That yellow Koenig sold recently.

Looks like it could be great fun / financially ruinous.

Not sure there’s much to see here.
Porsche remind Singer not to take the p155 and Kev says restomod cars built in sheds by hand aren’t as good as ones built by major manufacturers in factories by zillion euro robots using lasers.

Re: Anyone else had this issue?
I mothballed my 914 for a couple of years because the engine was making a horrific rattle and I couldn’t face the bill.
It was a bit of gravel in the fan.

Re: Off topic watch chat for the horologists out there
Doesn’t really have a market value - worth what somebody will pay you! Guess it’s an ETA 2824 inside, decent movement and used in many very expensive watches 2824 sounds right, thanks. I think I’ll see if anyone wants it for the original price and drop it from there if not. Where’s a good place to ...

Smashing, thanks Andy.
Next up.
A pair of chromed steel horn grills with two mounting screws. No part numbers. Are these good for all LWB cars? Any idea if they og or aftermarket, I don’t know how to tell.

Identify my stuff so I can sell it, please.
Hello friends. I’ve found a box of bits. I probably put them away thinking I’d remember what they’re off, but I can’t. Please can you help me work out what they are so I can accurately find new homes for them. First up is an engine lid grill. 13 horizontal bars, 5 vertical bars. Looks to be dark ano...

Re: Off topic watch chat for the horologists out there
Long-term Sam enthusiasts may remember that before I became aware of the spiritual futility of exchanging my labour for money I had a job at Paul Stephens for 18 months or so in 2010ish. During that time we had these watches made. They were made by Elysee in Germany with a 25 jewel automatic ETA 28x...

I’m no expert, but shouldn’t that VIN have stars or asterisks either end? I know they changed the style in 1971 but I thought they all had either stars or asterisks still…

Re: WTB: 996 GT3 recaros
I’ve always thought the optimum for a GT3 is driver bucket and passenger sport seat.
Racey feelz and bum clamping for the driver but retains access to the luggage space. Plus echoes of early race cars that had that sort of set up.
