Re: WANTED 1973 2.7RS CARRERA vin# 911360-1331 ! DEAD OR ALIVE !
1. Search the internet 2. Find someone looking for an RS that no one can find or a car claiming to be an RS but that’s iffy looking 3. Build a rep that’s better than the one in the iffy story 4. Announce it on the forums 5. Profit Not at all saying that’s what VALDES has done here, just that it coul...

Re: Non-Porsche for sale of the day
Really keen on this at the moment ! https://www.carandclassic.com/car/C1568838 That’s been for sale for a long long time. I know this because I’ve liked the look of it for a long long time. But my Elan loving friend says it’ll be dreadful because the cars were designed to flex and roll and slide ar...

Re: Porsche for sale of the day..........
. It's been for sale for a while - seem to remember Paul Stephens listed it back at the beginning of the year. Just goes to show how much money you can lose when you give specialists 'carte blanche' to build you a car with an 'open chequebook' approach !! For reference, this is how the car ...

Re: What's a safe redline for a 2.2 with stock components?
There are so many variables here. Is the engine built? If so the usual test is to hold the revs at 6000 for 20 seconds, then increase it by 100rpm, hold it for 20 seconds, increase it by 100 rpm, hold it for 20 seconds etc etc. When it blows up you’ll have established the safe limit was the one befo...

It’s been more like 15 years since you could get an exceptional 3.2 for £30k. A friend sold his silver 40k miler for over £90k pre covid.

Re: Porsche for sale of the day..........
I remember being surprised to find out it was legal and common practice here, I wondered whether it may have been challenged in the US as they like a bit of legal action even more than we do. Lots of stuff like that though, that would possibly be ruled illegal if it ever got to court. Trading standa...

Re: Porsche for sale of the day..........
Is it legal to take bids off the wall under the reserve in the US? If so maybe it was that.

That yellow Koenig sold recently.

Looks like it could be great fun / financially ruinous.

Not sure there’s much to see here.
Porsche remind Singer not to take the p155 and Kev says restomod cars built in sheds by hand aren’t as good as ones built by major manufacturers in factories by zillion euro robots using lasers.

Re: Anyone else had this issue?
I mothballed my 914 for a couple of years because the engine was making a horrific rattle and I couldn’t face the bill.
It was a bit of gravel in the fan.

Re: Off topic watch chat for the horologists out there
Doesn’t really have a market value - worth what somebody will pay you! Guess it’s an ETA 2824 inside, decent movement and used in many very expensive watches 2824 sounds right, thanks. I think I’ll see if anyone wants it for the original price and drop it from there if not. Where’s a good place to ...
