Looks like another set of auction results that proves the market for average and poor classics is very weak. The good stuff is still going well, but if your Elan Sprint doesn’t have a rear body flange lip or your SWB 911 has too many inches in its WB then you need to be prepared to sell it cheap.

Discussing the market with friends the other day and on collecting cars a boxster spyder went for what I’d say was £10k under market. That was a bit up on miles, 50k I think, and made £30k. I’d say that’s maybe £3k down from where I’d have expected at auction. It’s probably a £38k car from a dealer...
