Got a bit more done today, cleaned the clutch/torque converter housing and replaced the two oil seals and "o" ring. Also managed to get some grease into the release bearing. The box is ready to go onto the engine but all the tinware is away being bead blasted and powder coated so waiting o...

Took a trip up the M6 today to get my sporto box sorted by Mike Bainbridge. Thanks to Mikes expertise it is now sorted and ive learned alot about the box. Removed the torque converter and clutch carrier today, and found that the clutch was well and truly stuck to the pressure plate and also stuck to the other side. I dont know why the vacuum tank is so big, the clutch will work half a dozen times after the engine is turned off. All the vacuum hoses need replacing, when I tried to remove them they fell apart.

Had a great afternoon working on the 911, have dropped the engine and box out so that I can take the box to Mike Bainbridge. Was quite painless getting the engine out, all went very smoothly. Is it worth changing the injection pump drive belt and are they readily available.

Removing engine what else should I do

Im removing the engine from my 73 911 so that the gearbox can be repaired, while I have the engine out what else should I be doing?
Anything that is easier/only possible with the engine out.
