Re: Dunlop Racing L and M sections

I’ve tried Dunlop Ms on the road and they are horrible. They follow the camber and are frankly dangerous in wet / greasy conditions. Avons are much better. Keep the Dunlops for the track where they are a hoot. They are designed to be driven at high slip angles which generates heat and makes them sti...

Re: RHD 72E sunroof £356K

Aussie import taxes probably have something to do with it. The local market has become detached from the rest of the world. Getting cars into Aus without paying penal duties is now very difficult.

Re: Porsche for sale of the day..........

Hi Winston, all good thanks. Agree that all you need is a 356 and a sunny day to put a smile on your face. Hope the “broken chain drive stuff” is as much fun!

Re: Porsche for sale of the day..........

I know the car and it does have a proper 692/3A 4 cam that comes with it. The pushrod was built for racing purposes.

Re: Porsche for sale of the day..........

Worth bearing in mind that a trade sale is covered by consumer protection laws whereas a private sale isn’t. Call me cynical but traders do have a motivation to disguise themselves as private sellers.

And have you ever thought about trying to charge up an EV while hitched to a trailer?

Re: 911R inlet manifolds

Apart from looking good what do these manifolds do to engine performance? Do they only work with certain types of cam?

Re: Tyre Options - SWB 911

Even though you have 7” rears I would caution against putting big rubber on the back. You lose the pointy feel that makes the SWB a different drive to the LWB cars. 185/70 all round is plenty. The 7R will give you a bit more contact patch even with same size tyre. Avon is a better track tyre but the...

Re: OT: Cayenne Ownership

I’ve had a very happy experience with my 2016 Cayenne Diesel which I’ve done 105k miles in now. Has been a very reliable car and with 20k service intervals hasn’t cost that much to run. OPC labour rates aren’t the cheapest but servicing is all fixed price so you shouldn’t have any nasty surprises. K...

Think that’s been photoshopped. The car is Conda Green in real life.

Re: Your Porsche pic of the day......

I think I read they took double the hours of a 4 can, 4 cylinder to assemble. Power was better but most moved to flat 6. However I think some where used in 906/8? Sent from my HTC One M9 using Tapatalk They were fiendishly complicated because the quad cams were shaft and bevel gear driven - like th...
