Re: 64 65 66 Porsche 911 RHD platform and database

I can't find the conversion details on the car above, anyone help please? AFAIK this is a genuine RHD car - on my database as the 6th oldest surviving RHD 911. Ad claims its the 2nd one into the UK, from the records I have I'd guess its the 3rd or 4th - but again stand to be corrected. Should have ...

Re: 64 65 66 Porsche 911 RHD platform and database

I think it was mentioned a while back in this thread 301931 may be RHD. If this thread on Pelican Parts is correct then its LHD http://forums.pelicanparts.com/porsche-cars-sale/263947-sale-1965-porsche-911-301931-a.html more here http://forums.pelicanparts.com/porsche-911-technical-forum/260232-earl...

Re: 64 65 66 Porsche 911 RHD platform and database

Great to finally see some pics of this car. I have it on my database and seems pretty original. Does it still have the orignal engine 301930 and transmission 902114? Any more details or history on the car? Looks great...... Its all matching numbers only deviations are webers, and steel wheels shoul...

Re: 64 65 66 Porsche 911 RHD platform and database

A long term lurker, and watched this thread grow with interest. Why you may ask, well the magazine scan from below of MMU911C and FUW2C back in 1988 may answer that question. I'm in the passenger seat of FUW2C, scary to think that was nearly 30 years ago. Even more so it must be 36 years since we we...

The reason I think that GYU552C and the ex-Paragon car are one and the same along with all the obvious things, is due to the fact that both of them have the wrong wiper parking orientation for for an early car. It could be a mistake in restoration but I doubt it. The more information the merrier! H...

This one doesn't look like it came through AFN. Maybe South African, because the New Zealand and Australian cars are accounted for. Any idea of the chassis number? It looks a lot like the car that Paragon had, which was converted to RHD by Gantspeed. No idea at all sorry, I have some photo's of the...

If you have any more details would be interested. Was restored in the 80's and not used much since, remember my brother taking it to Althorp one year (95ish). And we used it for the RAC classic run one year in the late 90's (97or 98) but other than that its stayed under cover. Which is a bit sad but...

There is a 356 AFN archive being compiled by Mike Smith and Fred Hampton. I believe it will released as a book with period photos via PCGB. A lot of work has gone into it, but it stops at 1965 with 356C's. I don't know if it's be possible, but it would be nice to have a rolling record. I think a PC...
