Re: Do I need 69542461100 on my handbrake assembly ?
You should have the white plastic part, about 600mm long, 901.424.561.01/562.01, (L/R), 50 and 51 on the diagram above. It would also help if you add the year and model of your car, either in the text or in your signature, when asking for technical advice, especially when the question is about part ...

Re: Best place to buy brake pipes?
All Porsche 911 brake fittings are metric, M10 x 1.0. The pipe is 3/16". The pipes that you want are not drive handed (LHD or RHD), other pipes are.

Re: vapour lock?
This would lead me to believe it's fuel related rather than ignitionI thought I had just stalled but then it would not start. It caught but immediately died each time I tried.

Re: vapour lock?
Have all the fuel lines been replaced with hose that is properly resistant to new fuels? Maybe an oldhose is collapsing when hot? Is the fuel pump failing when hot?

What is the infatuation with CGT? A 356 is a car that is subject to imports tariffs just like any other VHI

Re: If you had a choice - 356B or 356C?
Are you just being a little territorial Nick? Sorry, I don't understand. He's not treading on my toes if that's what you mean, I've retired. I am warning Gary that there may be more to being a trader than is apparent to many. It's up to HMRC to decide his status, not him. As a trader the duty rate ...

Re: If you had a choice - 356B or 356C?
Thanks Winston. And yes, I do pay my fair share of taxes. It’s just that capital gains has rules which I abide by. I’m sure many if not most on DDK have benefited from many capital gains (tax free) with their cars the last ten years. Kettle and black I’d say Who mentioned CGT? I'd be more worried a...

Re: Comparing the Datsun 240Z to a 73T hotrod?
I have a 1972 240Z, ex-USA. It's not a quick car, probably equivalent to a 2.4T, but a very good tourer with excellent fuel consumption, good ventilation and loads of space, especially in the front. I'm 6'2" and have more space than in a 911. It attracts a similar amount of attention. The stand...

HMRC may have a different opinion. Not a problem if you live in the US, but then the IRS may be interested.gturner008 wrote:I’m not a trader. Check out my DDK history.
