That is a lot of money for a 912, looks well done although not sure about the interior or the incorrect front bumper. It is an early car and if the miles are correct from new at 11K then it is rare in that repect! In two minds the price is high but if all the details are correct how many 65 cars wit...

Hi Eyetee Ref the book I will dig it out and send you a PM once I find it. The high RPM performance is due to the small holes in the main body of the carbs on solexs that draw more fuel at high air flow rates (high rpm), therefore the mixture does not go as lean at the top end......so the car can be...

Hi

Having just sold my 912 I have a copy you can have for £25, it is in ok condition slight water damage to a few pages (slight wrinkle no loss of ink)....all is still readable.

My view on your question would be solex's need to be fully rebuilt, they are better at higher rpm.

Hi all A recent sale to add to this list, over £22k for a well restored car, with an Andy Prill engine and sorted body (all within the last 2 years). Not totally original but fitted with period or recreation race inspired parts. The sale price does not reflect the cost of the build but a good price ...

Re: Tyre choice.

Hi Matey. Well it's sad that your selling such an amazing car but I'm sure you had lots of fun putting it all together as it looks great. Interested in your tyre size choice. I'm just finishing my second 912 and its going to be for road use. It has 15 inch fuch's and it was imported with 205/60/15 ...

Hi Jon Sad news that you are selling. I agree with the others your car must be one of the best 912s around, if not the best. Top end price but I imagine this must be a fraction of what you have spent. The article on your car in the wind tunnel will be published in Porsche Post this month, so look o...

Hi jon lovely looking car. Do you know what the engine output is? The new engine has not been on a rolling road yet, but the perivous build was tested at 129 bhp at 6100rpm. The new build is to a very similar spec so I would expect 125-130 bhp again. If I still have the car on 17th April it will be...

Paul Ref getting into MIRA, this was a bit of right place right time, MIRA had on file a test of a SWB 911 measured in 1969, this was a nice piece of information to refer back to as the wind tunnel is still running the same inlet/outlet and balance today as it did on 1969. So they were keen to get s...
