My mate just bought a twin air, like you say Brendan, £0 tax, 70mpg (probably). £9k ex demo. He loves it, says its properly rorty. Twin cylinder petrol too, so 5p less a litre and none of that horrid smelly smoke..

The alternative was a citroen ds3 but he was too tall for it. Go figure..

Sorry, fixed the link now.

Yes, a cooler driver is faster I'm sure. Chilled fuel lines probably isnt a priority for the sort of performance I am looking at!!

I have been reminded that the evaporator is also worth replacing at the same time. So thats £500 in parts already, before gas.

O/T..should I delete my 964's aircon? (+naked 964 pic!)

..whilst the car looks like this? Its an ideal time to replace the condensor (which currently looks like it has been retrieved from the titanic, not surprising it was the main area identified on a refrigerant leak a few years ago) and also the dryer of course, whilst the wing is off. But, this aint ...

No heat, left hand side..?

Whats all this then? No heat at all on the LHS, RHS is toasty as usual. My J tube thingies and flapper boxes are all adjusted and in reasonable nick - a few pinholes and gaps as befitting the rest of the car, but they are the same both sides, and I wouldnt expect that to give me zero heat. The inter...

Sounds gnarly as hell. Well done on the bronze award and thanks for the write up. Pics, yes! What a great perspective on how demanding it must be to ride the whole frickin tour..even in the bottom 50, never mind to win it. Talking of which, anyone want to revise their predictions? Tommy Voeckler a S...
