Hi Gary,

I too have drilled them out by hand, and also made up a jig that has worked quite well - not really accurate enough as it is only fixed on one stud though. You are welcome to try it if you like. Otherwise I concur with the advice in the previous posts.

Hi, Probably the flywheel pickups, there are two of them -usually corroded into the mounting bracket on the left hand side of rhe engine/gearbox bellhousing area. No need to drain oil , but you will lose less if the car is jacked up a bit.
Typical loss about 0.25 - 0.5 litre when doing camshaft seal so you will not lose a lot just removing/refitting the cover.

Hi Nick,

The factory did use hoseclips at both ends - I use stainless narrow type as sold by Wurth etc. I can supply if you need.
