Welcome back Brendan! Great reflection on the last 20 years
Still can’t believe we made it back from Le Mans with that piston crashing up and down…!

Count the coils measure the wire thickness and grab the nearest pair from eBay? I’d imagine as long as they are the same the actual rate isn’t too important

my non-Porsche picture of the day
11/10 for that one. Such style from years gone by. Wonder if the 'modern crop' of super special cars will be seen in the same way when we are all electric or whatever happens? The Zagato Ferrari in this month's Octane is at a similar plane. Bit like this Bertone Jet based on a DB4GT. Always loved i...

Re: Any tips for 915 gearbox end cover swap
Gentle wiggle and make sure the speedo gear, end of the 5th/reverse shift rod and reverse switch rod are all lined up.
It’s a fiddle but shouldn’t fight too hard, when nearly on there are also the little dowels top and bottom for the last 10mm or so.
Best of luck

Re: 1987 3.2 Carrera Backdate project - Sladeys hotrod
Well no one seems to be interested any more (thanks Gary). I suppose things change and people aren’t so interested in this stuff any more - we’re all more used to watching videos. No problem it’ll save me wasting time taking photos and writing it up. I’ll stick a post on here when it’s finish...

Sounds like a slog! I guess with all the myriad of variations of the 911 heating system it was always going to be a challenging.
Bit like getting the wipers in and out, seemingly impossible unless you take the completely non instinctive route!
