I tried this. Gave up in the end and drilled holes in the new paint. As nothing is straight it needs to be ‘pulled in’

Brave pill needed :)

Lots of grease on the holes, remove the swarf and I didn’t try too hard to secure the bottom edge so they can drain easily

Time for a new oil pump. They are expensive for sure, but so is doing all this again.

If you can get a set of three pistons off and then release half of the crankcase you can maybe get to whatever is jamming it, or to the other rod bolts and then it should come apart. Just put the engine stand connection on the side with the stuck pistons pointing towards the floor and leave the cran...

That’s a real shame.
Good to narrow it down but a bummer when it turns out to be the complicated expensive bit.

Can you split a case without removing the pistons? Will the case move pass the stuck piston? Sent from my 22011119UY using Tapatalk Yes, but at this point you can pull the circlips out, knock the gudgeon pins through and pull them off. Possibly. The crank's at 90 degrees so some are alongside each ...

Yes, but at this point you can pull the circlips out, knock the gudgeon pins through and pull them off.
