Re: my non-Porsche picture of the day
Close, but that’s a Rolls
And an electric one at that.
We do have one on the fleet and it’s most impressive even if it’s a BMW i7 underneath

Best of luck

If you can get a set of three pistons off and then release half of the crankcase you can maybe get to whatever is jamming it, or to the other rod bolts and then it should come apart. Just put the engine stand connection on the side with the stuck pistons pointing towards the floor and leave the cran...

That’s a real shame.
Good to narrow it down but a bummer when it turns out to be the complicated expensive bit.
Has it ‘lost’ the map?

Re: Assessing an unknown engine
Can you split a case without removing the pistons? Will the case move pass the stuck piston? Sent from my 22011119UY using Tapatalk Yes, but at this point you can pull the circlips out, knock the gudgeon pins through and pull them off. Possibly. The crank's at 90 degrees so some are alongside each ...

Re: Engine issue
If not clearly misfiring then it still had at least some spark and some fuel. Spark tends to be binary rather than partial failure, so a whole engine power reduction I’d definitely call fuel supply out first. Unless of course your floor mat is under the throttle pedal or the linkage is about to drop...
