Re: Race Retro Show Stoneleigh

Did not know there was a two for one offer, where was that advertised?
Booked in advance for Saturday and saved £5.00.

Some body came up with a good Christmas present, received a subscription, that will save remembering when it is due to be published. :)

Re: CTEK Battery Charger

Darren,
As Roy has stated it depends which model you have. I have two of their battery conditioners which I use on the Porsche and Alfa. No need to disconnect the battery. They work really well in keeping the battery alive on any car that is not used regularly.

Re: Starter Motor

Richard, I have a 915 gearbox mated to a 2.7 with raised compression. I needed a new starter motor and went for an aftermarket lightweight high torque unit. Started with an external solenoid unit and moved onto the internal geared unit when that did not work. Maybe it was bad luck but neither design...

Re: new wheel choice

Wheels look good in gold.
Not as inexpensive as gold minilites though. I run 6inch gold minilites on MSA regularity events and 7 inch rears on other events. If they take a knock it is less expensive than repairing the Fuchs.

If you are going the Subaru route why stop at 2 litres. Current STI uses 2.5 four pot with Turbo and there is a version of the Legacy which has a 3 litre 6 pot but normally aspirated. Once you go the turbo route it is easy to find HP.

Hi Andrew, Just seen your post having been away. I suggest you try BTB Exhaust in Daventry. http://www.btbexhausts.co.uk/exhausts/porsche.asp I have used them for one off for my previous rally car. They may make the Prefab exhaust? They are certainly capable of modifying an existing design to fit. M...

I fitted my Brantz 2 tripmeter into my LH drive 911 regularity car. I used a universal wheel probe and picked up pulses from the disc bolts on the right hand front wheel. You will need to remove the front disc. I bought a sensor bracket from Tuthill. Whilst you could make your own this came ready fi...

Disco,
I am not sure where you live but I use an automotive paint supplier called Paintstore in Leamington Spa who will mix paint to either a code or match to a panel then put it into aerosol cans.
I am sure most companies in this business offer a similar service.
