Re: Project übermächtig vier
Thanks for the positive comments...I have a feeling this is going to take much longer to complete than I'd like. I'll update the progress as often as possible. One other detail I want to add is an alloy fuel cell with a through-the-hood fill in the center. I'd really like a vintage Monza/Le Mans sty...

Re: More R inspired
Only took me a year to say... thanks Jonathan. Hope you have that E-type finished! A few updates to report. Swapped the 16 inch Fuchs for 15s... and put the Cibie biodes on the shelf for some difficult to find yellow lens Marchal Amplilux headlights. The Fuchs have some cool 917 style alloy valve st...

Re: Your Porsche pic of the day......
THIS was a fun day... an epic drive from Willow Springs in the high desert to Solvang, California... from left, that's Chuck Miller, Chris Tallon, Randy Wells, Chris Messano, me and Martin Gibson bringing up the rear.

Re: £185,000 Austin Healey, and it's a replica!
A Healey 3000 was one of my first loves but I always wanted a 100S. Imagine -- an eighteen year-old with no money. Good luck with that. I'd be interested to know what became of this car: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2068015/Austin-Healey-racing-car-involved-1955-Le-Mans-disaster-sell-1m.h...

Re: For all you fans of MOMO Prototipo
I'm sorry I haven't been active on DDK lately... shame on me. I'll do better ... I really do love it over here. Thanks for the plug JB-L ... I have Andy to thank along with a few others for this wonderful obsession. Putting this story together provided me with a wide range of emotions. I had been so...

Re: My 'new longer-term project' ...
Wow x 1,000,000 -- Andy, this project is over the top amazing.
I personally think the 904 is one of, if not the most beautifully designed Porsches ever made. Unbelievable job!

Re: More R inspired
Thomas, Andy and Jonathan thanks a lot. I've missed quite a few late year weekend drives because of the roof damage. That's the worst of it... well, not really. Actually, the car has been back from the paint/body shop once but after a quick inspection, I sent it right back. The paint match was not g...

Just showing off
Two pretty rare, early prototipos -- both are 360mm diameter. One as you can see, has some amazing patina in the leather. It has an early MOMO stamp on the back and interestingly, it's unsigned on the front. I think it makes for a nice, clean look though Andy would remind me that it's not really a p...

I'm not sure which is worse (better). A fetish or an obsessionLightweight_911 wrote:... I do admit to having a steering wheel fetish...
I too admit... have a bit of both.

Re: 370mm dished Momo prototipo in black
Thanks for the info. I'll check into the repro but an original Momo would be preferred.
