Re: Opinions on these 36's for sale
Tell him to go and see mine currently for sale at PRS. Price recently reduced significantly ..... currently asking £89,500. Its the 56 (built 55) very early T1 RHD coupe. Its not perfect, but one that can be improved over time. Mechanically sound and really nice to drive (and over long distances).

Re: So anyway, what car's this from ?
Premium British sports car of the early thirties is my guess. Not dissimilar to my (now gone) 1930 mg18/80 mk2.

Re: Latest DVLA no plate sale
Roy, your plate could be transferred by you to another car, regardless of when it was originally issued. This is subject to conditions (the plate must not make the car it is transferred to look younger than it actually is, which will not be the case with a non-age related plate such as yours). The w...

Re: Kardex - Colour question
Max 5706 on the Kardex is in my experience confirmation that the car was originally silver metallic. It would then usually be followed by an A (red interior) or B (green interior). My interpretation of your Kardex would be it was delivered with a special black interior. If you disagree with anything...

Re: 1958 Porsche 356a coupe RHD.
I think my OPC charged me £120 plus VAT/hr for my water cooled car, but they indicated to me that the rate is lower for "classic" porsches (although I wouldn't think that much lower) as they are wanting to increase their classic work.

Phil
If you would like a taste(!) of what is involved, take a look at the work Sportwagen carried out for me on my previous car.

The very best of luck.....

Re: 1958 Porsche 356a coupe RHD.
Having been through the process a couple of years ago (not my current car), I believe you could be looking at £100k plus for a proper and full restoration by one of the recognised 356 specialists. Clearly doing it yourself would reduce this figure. Unfortunately you cannot even begin to assess the b...

Re: What did you do in/on/for your Porsche today?
Will the current Mrs Bardsley be taking the wheel again ? I hope so. Since if I don't include her then it becomes only my hobby but far be it for me to predict what she will do or try to suggest what she should do! Brilliant !!!!! You sum up my situation perfectly.... 38 years of marriage and...

Re: RHD 356's
So you have all the Australian info you need Hendrik? Yes, we have all the facts. If there are any period photos I could use then they would be a welcome addition. :) Hendrik, once the RHD book is finished your challenge is to drive all of the RHD cars that are still on the road. That should keep y...

Re: Does anyone know this car ?
Apologies for the very poor quality... searched high and low for the digital images without success so have had to photograph the hard copy photos I have. Both taken Hedingham 2011. Definitely a darker colour than flat aquamarine (which I don't think was available in 56), so presumed non-standard. h...

Re: Does anyone know this car ?
I saw it at Hedingham in 2011 or 2012 (when I was specifically looking at "aquamarine blue" cars). I have photos somewhere and will post when I have chance.

Re: RHD 356's
Hendrik, you and Mike deserve a medal for your efforts and sticking at it for so long..... If funding is needed to publish why not take advance orders, I am sure there will be plenty of takers, with a £high deposit? Who is organising next year's international, when is it, and where is it to be based...
