Re: For the love of Steering Wheels.....

Last summer I got to visit a friend of a friend. Lovely guy. A real vintage motoring enthusiast family. Allsorts, really, but mostly pre-1920 and Italian four-stroke mopeds. Loads of weird and wonderful stuff, and amidst all this a stacked logo horn push steering wheel hanging with a bunch of other ...

That’s what I had found also, but it’s so hard to tell on old aged gauges.
I thought it was 68 only but this opens up for finding ones dated 69 as well.
Thanks DDK!

Re: Early Inner door tops.

These are pre-1968 i think?

68 are slightly thicker towards the front/dash I believe. 69-onwards are again a different version.

Re: STOP PRESS! New race series for SWB 911s in 2018...

Thanks! Yes, I’ve understood that the aluminium case and the solexes is what ruins the whole dream. :) On a related note I remember me and a friend discussing that a FIA 914-6 should be the cheapest (everything is relative) way of getting onto the Le Mans Classic grid. Except maybe a two-stroke Saab...

Re: STOP PRESS! New race series for SWB 911s in 2018...

Trying to figure out FIA. Can any SWB 911/912 be built to comply with FIA pre-1965 spec, or does one have to source a 1965 911?

Are 1968 gauges one-year-only?

I am looking to put some oel/druck combination gauges in my 1968 and I just have in the back of my mind that I’ve read somewhere sometime about 1968 gauges having a slightly different shade of white on the digits. I know most gauges work between years, and I have a set of 1970 combo gauges, but for ...

Excuse me for jumping in with only basic knowledge, but aren’t the 914-6 camshafts the same as 911 T-spec cam shafts?

Air filter housing 1970/1971 MFI

I’ve got a complete air filter housing going spare. It’s a nice straight dent-free steel air box dated 12/69, complete with snorkel, carb buckets, brass flame guard and cold start piping. I’ve got pics but you know. Photo bucket... http://i406.photobucket.com/albums/pp150/dizzycap/EA60ADA5-8A06-41A7...

Re: Early 911 Flywheel

I actually have one spare but I think shipping from Sweden will be costly.

Aren't they available new for reasonable money, or are the repros bad?

Still looking. Does anyone know a source for these? Would prefer original/patinated if anyone has.

Re: Price check: Recaro bucket seat slider

I had accumulated a bunch of bits over the years. I have two complete sets for my two seats (one full set is already in the car, whilst the passenger seat is currently on a custom tilt-bracket without sliders) Going through what I have/needed to make the passenger seat complete I figured out that th...
