Thanks for your help chaps. It seemed to be related to the way the main battery cable was fed into the fuse box, overloading the horn fuse. We recently replaced the earthing strap and battery clamp, thereby transmitting greater load and blowing the fuse. Now we've sorted it, the lights are a bit bri...

Fuse issue for a '59 A

Hi I have a '59 A RHD which keeps blowing its 'supplimentary heater' 25 amp fuse (3rd from right) and as a result, cuts off the engine, lights - everything, leaving me coasting to a halt! I've had an auto-electrician go through the whole car but he failed to find anything wrong, and so the problem r...

12volt conversion

Perhaps a typical question (maybe I didn't go back far enough to see this question previously raised) but what is the typical cost of converting a 6 volt car to 12 volts, and how long would does it roughly take?

Hopefully someone can shed some light on the matter...

Classics at the Castle 2009

I understand there is a demand for all early 911s for this years' event on June 7th, especially SWB cars. It is open to all owners, not simply those belonging to a club. If you haven't been, you must! Check out the website, register your attendance and save 25% off the standard ticket price: http://...

I'm in the midlands and have a '68 2.0 standard car. But the number of hits and lack of replies, I guess I'm not posting topical subject..! I'm interested in getting people's opinion about who's good and who is not so good, just because there are many places out there who are 'specialists'. Any sugg...

Servicing an early 911 2.0

Which is the most recommended place to get an early car serviced? Regardless of cost/location. I've heard Francis Tuthill is good and Andy Prill. Anyone else?
