On the other hand - I will never ever own a 356B or C... 356A is the newest on my "356's I want to own list". may i ask why ? i like all of them but i love the C as its got the advantage of disc breaks, not to mention it runs off 12v so is alot easier to use everyday on UK roads. My inter...

i have really mixed feelings about Fuchs on a 356. just can't seem to make my mind up if i like them or not  I understand what you mean... I've decided that I do like them on other peoples 356C's or SC's. Wouldn't dream of putting them on my own 356. On the other hand - I will never ever own ...

I think that Porsche used 912's för rallying here in Sweden, but I haven't done the research to prove this.

911L-Rallye on this forum might know. Ask him.

Im sure Ive read a thread on here and when fitted its almost impossible to position the additional mirror to be of any benefit. Is it the window frame that gets in the way or just the angle isnt achievable? I cant remember but dont drill anything till youve checked No, it's not impossible. Here in ...

Edit:- One last thing, should my plugs have that oil all over the thread? Where`s all that coming from then?
Oil will bond the plug with the head.
Use copper paste if anything.

My Porsche drinks a lot of fuel (-74 Carrera MFI), and I don't have your problem. I'm running NKG BP7ES. In my opion do aircooled Porsches need NGK. I've tried expensive Bosch and they failed miserably in my 356 (the platinum stuff). So try NGK and your troubles are probably over! And no, I've no ti...

Stick to the oil the engine is used to. A good general rule is to at least stick to the type of oil, i.e. never go from mineral to synthetic. I agree with lois356, do a service now. Change the oil - both in the engine and gearbox, get new sparkplugs and points, use the grease gun... And your 356 wil...

No not really, it's enough to stay in the upper half for everyday driving.

Keep it topped up for inspired slow driving, such as slalom, because then you really need the extra cooling.

Remember - it's oil-cooled not air-cooled...

It's about one litre between the marks.

Overfill and the surplus will be thrown out (messy...)

Very few 356 used cellulose. As far as I know this was special order only.
The most common was Glasurit, which I think you may still get.
For me, 2k is far to shiny unless you matt it down considerably.
