Re: P1800 - anybody had one ????

That's correct, but in the Jensen cars water leaked in everywhere.
So, the production was fairly quickly moved to Sweden.

The "S" in "P1800 S" stands for "Sweden".

You are wrong about the speedo on a first series car.

Re: dslr advice - kit or body + lens?

I have a Nikon D300 with a Nikkor VRII 18-200 lens.
That lens is fantastic, it's really the only lens you need.

As for kit lenses; whatever they charge for them - it's way too much... 8)

Re: Denis Jenkinson 356

The book you want first is the one with a red car on cover "Porsche 356". The other one is "A Passion for Porsches" which is another book I can recommend.

But it's "Porsche 356" book that's a must have...

I have the 5000 model, two left-handed and two right-handed and a 456 rack for storage. http://www.zendextool.com/gojak/gojak-5000.html Once the car is on Gojaks, it moves with such an ease that you do need to be two persons handling the vehicle (and don't...
