Am I missing something here or is it just the bushed coupling is missing. That would fill the gap.

A cup off hot water did it for me. It helps if they are new shiny drop links rather than rusty ones. Same trick then to make then pliable enough to slip over the ball when fitting to the car. The blob of grease you put in the bush won’t be washed out by the hot water. I just used the palm of my hand...

The needle is under a little spring tension to hold it against the stop at 0mph. Just gently bend the tip of the needle over the stop and let it settle to it’s true resting spot. Mark this position on the back of the dial face. Shld give you a near as damit accurate as was when you come to put it al...

But seeing as you don't mention it in your post I wondered if you had overlooked the fact that there's quite a bit more too it than just a filler. Changed its oil ready for the spa trip ✔️

Managed to finally sort ferry, I'm now a passenger with Jon and my car is traveling alone :roll: ✔️

Found a shop that sells marvellous trousers with a 3 foot inside leg :wink: ✔️

What I did for my Porsche today was defend it :wink:

Rusty screws, scoops, over riders and......large flag mirrors inc one on the passenger side. Oh! Also ex sporto, ex sepia.
