Re: SWB Horn Questions

Hi Stu I have a new spring loaded pin in place from a horn hardware repair kit from Sierra Madre so this should be fine. Looking at the wiring diagram, the earth wire (solid brown) comes from the cigarette lighter base and the negative (brown and white) comes up from the relay. I've checked both and...

Ok so just to update you guys out of interest...

Outer diameter of wire sheath is 2.5mm
30 strands
Outer diameter of just copper strands is 1.4mm

So now I'll try and match this on http://www.vehicle-wiring-products.eu/s ... -pvc-cable

Re: Which wiring and from where?

HI thanks for the info. I did come across these guys when I looked in Google but wasn't sure what 'size' wiring I needed. And no I don't have the connector but I suppose I could try and source one. Do you have a picture of what they look like?

Re: Which wiring and from where?

Hi Nick it's my 912 which has a 2.0 e engine from 1969 which was added at some point... It doesn't have the 'proper' wiring so I was looking to improve what is there.

If I did want correct coloured wiring is there a supplier where I could buy this without buying a complete harness from say Kroon?

Re: Which wiring and from where?

I take your point but my engine wiring is a bit of a mess and I don't really want to do the whole car, this way I can re wire just the engine and not everything...

that was my thinking.

Which wiring and from where?

Hi everyone, I'm looking to rewire my engine bay and add a 'quick release' block to allow easy engine removal... my question is whiich wiring do people recommend and from what supplier? My wiring doesn't really need to be 100% matching to the original just nice and tidy. Also if anyone has added a q...

Re: Looking for my original engine

HI guys, not sure if it helps but you could try http://www.findyourengine.com

The more people that list what they want or what they're selling the higher the chances for a match.

Cheers

Which shocks to use

Hi everyone, I'm looking for some advice. I'm looking to replace the shocks on my 65 912 all round and wanted to see what people though of the Koni vs Bilsteins. My car is running pretty low as you can see here. If anyone has and comments let me know. https://googledrive.com/host/0B5L3WI5rKO8CbmUybU...

Rear window interior trim

Hi everyone, I'm looking for some missing trim for my rear windows (interior 1965 car) It's where the rear window hinges bolt to the door pillar. The vinyl ends where there is a metal lip for the window to sit. Looking at other cars over the weekend there was a rubber flexible metal channel cover th...
