Thanks v much for the advice. I'll try what Helen says , AND I'll order the proper part from Roger Bray , sort of belt and braces.... One thing though , Helen says screw the knob on ....and it looks to me like it will only push on :? .... maybe I should bring the car up to Leicester to get it done p...

Knob comes off in my hand

:shock: its the gearknob on a 915 5 speed box , 1969 911E . I keep pushing it back on , but I need to fix it. Any suggestions?
If the worse comes to the worse I'll araldite it on but thats a bit permanent !

Flags look horrible on 911s - thank god the 964RS had teardrops !
My vote is for round chrome originals , fit 2 to avoid being pulled to one side by aero drag :)

Hi Tony just following up on Jason's question ! The big issue with the early 911s is corrosion , and the expense to get things sorted if a car has a bad case of it. I guess the Autofarm car should be OK on that score and sounds like money has been spent on it on the mechanical side. Would make an in...
