Rubbed back the paint on the little square tag on the left side A post. The only nr I can see is on the bottom half of the tag 140 - 9 - 3

Does that mean anything? Or do I need to look elsewhere on the tag?

Bahia Red ?

Guys I'm trying to identify what shade of red my 72 shell is. It has been resprayed at some point, and there are no paint code nrs visible. I see that Bahia Red (022) is listed as a std colour for that year, does anyone have a pic of a car in that colour. The other possibility could be Rose Red (024...

To me they are not unlike the Corbeau Alpine, which are £180 from dealers on eBay. One thing is how will the raised sides cope with the lap belt of the seat belt or harness? Will they not hold these away from your body instead letting the belt hold you into the seat? Also there is a site on German e...

If you have a 915 gearbox, the switch is at the forward nose of the box, beside where the gear selector rod goes in. You can see it from underneath the car.

Guys Thanks for the welcome :) Firstly can I say that unfortunately, that's not my workshop, I've a much more basic std garage !! I've already asked re the chassis nr and it's coming up as a early 1970 model T, which obviously doesn't correspont with the side oil tank shell. I would suspect that the...

Some further information regarding the engine and gearbox They came from a front damaged car, were bought to put in a VW van, but that idea was binned and it was sold to a guy who was fed up trying to get a 2.2S MFI to work. The engine has 80k mile on it. Some new tinwork was put on the engine and i...
