Re: Sunny Harrogate.

Hello Mike and well remembered, Yes we are indeed those very chaps. What happened to the 911? I've admired it a couple of times at RPM whilst in for servicing. It really was a beauty. Looks like you you've replaced it with something as good if not better though ? I bought a 993 four years ago, figur...

Re: Sunny Harrogate.

Well spotted all those that said it's a backdate. The car belongs to my brother, and is in fact a 1986 3.2 carrera recently backdated. The giveaways are the wide arches and modern wheeels. Work on the rear suspension still needs to be done, but it actually drives pretty well as is. We've had a few q...

A spirited drive up North Yorkshire's (supposedly) steepest hill. 911's lapped it up !!

Re: Silverstone 911 record?

I liked the fact that the organisers had arranged for two spitfires to perform directly over the parade. Whether intentional or not, it was quite ironic !!

Re: my non-Porsche picture of the day

Re - mallard Splendid, and a reminder of a time when we could actually make things better and more beautiful than anyone else !! One thought, when Bittern repeated the journey last weekend, special permission was granted to exceed the current 70mph speed limit. How is it that 75 years ago they easil...

Re: Last minute Ddk northern curry ..... Weds 15th

911 People Carrier

I've been looking for a new mode of transport for the wife and kids, and stumbled across this. The perfect solution, although its does look like an Austin Maxi from certain angles !!

Unmarked police cars !!

Hello all, A tip for those travelling in and around north yorkshire over the coming months, particularly around the A1 corridor - North Yorkshire Police have invested in unmarked Range Range Evoques. Nice to see taxpayers money being spent wisely in these hardened times !! Keep an eye out - either d...

2013 classic car shows

Hello all, just an idea, but with it being the 50th birthday of the 911 this year, I thought a small organised display of the cars from each era would be good at some of the more 'local' classic car shows in and around yorkshire this spring/summer. I would be happy to put forward my 993, so we'd jus...

RAC RALLY 2013

Can't recommend this event highly enough. Incredible cars, being driven as they were meant to be, in the unforgiving Yorkshire forests, and the sort of freedom you used to get as a spectator before 'health and safety.' Numerous 911's to boot !! struggling to upload photos, but can be seen here - htt...

Re: Aug 5th - Lotherton Hall ?

I'll be setting off down the A1 from Boroughbridge around noonish in the old 993 if anyone fancies a run down in tandem ?
