Re: Post-Brexit trade deal - Customs?

I see how it's going to be a problem with private sellers. But when buying from a VAT registered business, not sure what you mean by the "customs" part in due to high local VAT rate over here+customs Since import duty is not payable (that's the deal, I thought?), I would have expected you...

Re: Post-Brexit trade deal - Customs?

. - sounds like it could now seriously affect buying used parts from private sellers in the EU ... . I’m afraid so, and also vica versa; local customs e.g here in Finland will vigorously collect 24% VAT from 20£ upwards and also customs from 135£ upwards for goods coming from UK. :( So it makes buy...

Re: 70 S, RHD, Signal Orange, UK->Australia->UK

I tested mine (made similar tool), and when pressurised, put them in water. I tested three coolers I have bought over the years ("no engine failure" coolers). Three coolers, 2 leaked a lot and 1 a bit. So ordered new one from Porsche and called it a day. Same luck was with early alu-case t...

Re: Group 4 '7R' wheels

I'm interested in 2 wheels :shock: , can you give it some time to find a buyer for the other 2? but I'll take all 4 if I really have to :roll: PM sent Bengt I'm happy to buy other 2 wheels. (shipping to Finland is actually pretty cheap via Parcel2Go, which I'll pay of course) Would this work for se...

Re: 70 S, RHD, Signal Orange, UK->Australia->UK

This is superb build thread, both about quality of work and how you present it. I really hope get your engine back and you can finish and enjoy rest of the build! IMO Its reasonable to say that you should get your engine back fully rebuild within 2 weeks, thats plenty of time to build a fairly stock...

Re: Various Donor metal.

I'm afraid way too far to pick these up but I would strongly recommend somebody restoring SWB/LWB (and have room to store) to buy these, these are gift at that price... E.g. that LHD side door post "cup", you need that to backdate SWB rear quarters. (backdating some new panel without donor...

Surprised these haven't sold yet Ville. They would have worked for me, but i have decided to sell my SWB project :( Got them flares on yet. :) Dave Flares will have to wait until my 67' resto is closer to finish (they'll go to 66' hotrod), next stage is finally paint. But flares are perfect, thanks...
