Re: 911 Engine parts - OE v Type 911 etc Recommendations?

I have the perfect solution Gary. Spread the cost over several years (maybe not 8!) and that way you can't remember how much you spent  This is what I do. :bounce:  Prob is though that its difficult to remember parts already sourced. :) I have used both Rosepassion and Mittelmotor with s...

Re: Back in beige

ive seen many 'professional' paint jobs that have pin holes etc. I think you're being too hard on yourself Jamie. From the photos it looks spot on ( although I do appreciate sometime the camera can be flattering ;) ) +1 And unlike many others (especially US based...) I would say that 50 years ago p...

Re: Parts wanted for RHD 911 2.2E fitted with 2.2S engine

Looking at the website they sell S throttle bodies at £1100 a pair. One thing worth mentioning is that Mittelmotor english webshop (in their homepage) are not up to date what come to prices, so if you need accurate prices you'll need to use German pages. (at least this has been the case in last few...

Re: Carbs Rebuild

I'm doing mine now and having brand new large ultrasonic cleaner, any suggestion what should be removed (so not washed in cleaner) from carbs before giving them ultrasonic clean? (I'll fit rebuild kit after cleaning) I will need to search some info how to measure shaft wear... Fingers crossed they w...

Re: JP Group / Dansk panel differences?

Sorry Nick, I have forgotten to update my location (done now). Used to live in London (I even visited your premises) but moved back to Finland quite a while ago. So unfortunately can't use Porsche West London anymore, now closest place to source parts well is pretty much Germany as our local OPC pri...

Re: JP Group / Dansk panel differences?

Thanks Matt! I actually asked couple of weeks ago from Eckert if SWB wings they supply are Porsche or Dansk (1965-1968 wings) and prices for them as they were POA, they just sent me prices which were several hundreds € more than LWB versions. IMO very quite high if they are Dansk wings. But of cours...

Re: JP Group / Dansk panel differences?

Can anyone else comment upon the front wing compare using recent experience i.e. Dansk vrs Porsche OE in the last 12 months? We have to be careful about the tooling age I think. I'm in process of buying SWB front wings as well, unfortunately I can't buy them from here as official Porsche dealership...

They are not with me here so I can't tell you, I'm sure quite many have used these (e.g. in Early911S forum) without probs. If you ask Pelican, I'm sure they are able to tell you.

I have received them (they have been available for quite some time) and should be OEM quality. Price is supercheap, they must have bough loads of them to get that price. They are brand new and made by Empi, I think they are used in some VW's as well. (not sure though).

Not sure if it helps but Pelicanparts sells complete SWB driveshaft with CV joints for 67.50$ (so roughly 43£), I ordered 2 and even postage wasn't too bad.

Nice 18mm rear bar sourced, now just after drop links etc.

Also I'm after front 18mm or 19mm bar. (through-body style)

Better to contact them via phone, they have been very helpful, postage is cheap for larger parts and always received what I have ordered. :)
