Today I had to machine some copper seal washers because some were missing :| New chokes were a true transition fit at room temperature! They don't look as preeeety as yours Matt, but the PMO stuff is a class apart. Perfect fit of all parts. I'm missing the large fibre washers off the inlet float val...

Rebuilding Webers: IDC's

Doing these now for my racer. I have a good (not that good) repair kit that came with the carbs. In building up one side I have 3 small (about 3mm ID) O rings over. Hillclimb/road car (MoT etc) EBC Green Stuff all round. The new formula pads have a de-glazing rough compound on the surfaces to help bedding the surface. Brakes are just great. Stock A type caliper on the fromt, 911T on the rear ('73) old, been re-sealed 3 times by me in 21 years, braded hoses (mis...

Did Porsche dip their cars way back when?
I always thought they were jigging holes when welding together the shells, then hammered 'closed' and bridged by the dreaded PVC coating to seal them off.

I think the shipping and Gordon's cut was nearly as much as the parts... The weber fuel bars are configured such that i can make the fuel system...

It is a very long time ago when i had IDA's on my 2.2T, but had a similar problem. Found to be worn spindle bushes (bad news) A trick to try though: Get some lithium grease in a spray form (Halfords etc) and dose the spindles where the actuation linkage is (and throttle return spring) The grease see...
