Are these door pockets original?

Hey all, Restoration of 1973 T underway. It currently has these door pockets: http://i250.photobucket.com/albums/gg275/allenwerskine/doorpocket.jpg They are in very good condition and are a good fit. I have seen some like this for sale somewhere online and listed as being for cars from 1967 to 1973....

Re: Reinstating hand throttle connection...help needed

Thanks Gents.

Metal adjustment grommet still in place so looks like I just need the plastic part.

Good opportunity to repaint the handbrake while it's out!

Reinstating hand throttle connection...help needed

Has to be one of the most annoying jobs I've ever done on a car! I've ended up removing the handbrake. So, I have ordered the 'valve lever' as Porsche call it. Do I need anything else? How does this connection grip the throttle linkage? Does it connect with the adjustment block? There is a grommet i...

Re: What radio was in a 1973 T Coupe?

So does the din panel just slide out like it suggests in the advert? Mine looks to have a din panel in.

Re: Bits for 1973 911 T

Loz - apols for calling you Lol...!

Stu - rubber has already been replaced - can you give me a price on the trims. The door bins I need are two per door and don't think they are carpeted. What car are your bins from?

Cheers,

Al

Re: What radio was in a 1973 T Coupe?

Thanks guys,

Lots of options out there. Seems possible to spend anything from £250 to £2000!!

Big empty hole at the moment so certainly need a panel to seat the radio in. I like the look where the radio is more integrated into a trimmed panel..is there a Porsche part for that?

Re: Bits for 1973 911 T

Hi Lol,

coming off a US car I'm afraid. Car is in the shop at the mo so I can't check.

Will send photos when I can. I would describe them as in need of work.

Re: Anyone have experience of these suppliers

Thanks for the solid advice guys. Mike, my experience of Agnews so far has been that they are extremely helpful (Johnny) but are constrained by dealer pricing which seems to be 20-30% more than the Indie's..even for Porsche parts. I might just call in with a list and leave it with them. Up to them i...

Re: MOMO and HUB

Hi. Can you put up a photo? I was going to buy a boss to fit my SC momo to my '73 911 temporarily while my original wheel is being recovered but might be a better option just to buy yours. Presumably it will fit a '73?

Anyone have experience of these suppliers

Hey all, About to spend quite a lot of money bringing my 1973 T up to standard. Much of what I need is interior plus seals connected with windows out repaint. So, I'm doing a bit of pricing research. I started with Type911 (who I've just placed an initial order with), Roger Bray, Design 911, Southbo...

What radio was in a 1973 T Coupe?

Hello folks,

I've just bought a ex-US 1973T coupe, the later CIS model. It's a rolling restoration, mainly cosmetic.

The interior seems to be fairly original so I'm keen to source the right radio. Was it a Becker unit or Blaupunkt?

There will be many more questions...

Photos to come.

Re: VIN and engine number locations on 1973 T coupe

Many thanks all, I've uploaded some photos here: http://s250.photobucket.com/user/allenwerskine/slideshow/73%20T I had noticed that the front indicator surrounds should be black like the rear ones. Any other aspects of the car that seem out of place. The car was sold in the US in April '73, must be ...

Re: VIN and engine number locations on 1973 T coupe

Thanks to all for your help. I have emailed Herr Noack to ask if he can give me a production number for this car. It doesn't look like this production number would be that easy to get at in a normal car? Anyone know how the knee pad above the ash tray is held on? If there are rivets then it is unlik...
