Re: Who would you trust with your engine rebuild

I'd add Johnny Holland at Unit 11 Porsche in Warrington to the list. Al.

Re: JP Group / Dansk panel differences?

JP Group have come back to let me know that they only make one version of that rear centre panel. So, if ECP are offering a more expensive panel it is not from them and they should not have used that photo. The Product Manager at JP Group did confirm that they used old and new tools for some panels,...

Re: JP Group / Dansk panel differences?

Hmm...interesting stuff. It's perfectly possible that ECP have used an inaccurate photo of that panel with 'JP Group' on it for their website but if they haven't then it does imply that JP Group have two grades of product. I have sent them an email seeking clarification. I suffer from having been in...

JP Group / Dansk panel differences?

Hi Folks, Happy New Year to all! I have just noticed Eurocarparts offering two different versions of the same panel, both of which come from JP Group / Dansk. See here for the panels in question: http://www.eurocarparts.com/bumper - the rear centre panel. My question isn't actually about this panel ...

Re: Which auxilliary lights?

Thanks Mike, font of knowledge as always! Could you point me towards your post on the yellow lensed pair please - had a look but couldn't see them. If there were driving lights mounted TTG then presumably they were wired to the main beam? I can't check at the moment because my car is in pieces but p...

Which auxilliary lights?

Hey all, Hope you had a great Christmas and will have an even better New Year! So, I'm at bumper selection stage and my car is wired for fogs..hence query about fog/driving lights I think I have established that my US 1973T had its fog lights mounted through the horn grills rather than in the bumper...

Foot pedal bracket

Hi all, My front floor pan is getting some work which will include pedal area. There was a metal plate bolted in on top of the main floor pan where the accelerator pedal fixes but nothing underneath. Am I right in thinking I should have one of these? http://i250.photobucket.com/albums/gg275/allenwer...

Success!

That was much easier than I thought it would be. Time will tell how good my notes and photos are when I go to put it back in again!

Re: Front tow hook, '73T

Thanks Majordad, that's very useful.

Looks to me like my car has the same panels as those you have used, with that drain hole in the front floor. Do you recall how that was dealt with when the tow hook was fitted?

Front tow hook, '73T

So, underside of the front tub looks OK but I think my car should have a towhook in the centre of this section. http://i250.photobucket.com/albums/gg275/allenwerskine/fronttununderside.jpg Think it should look like this? (from a series of photos I found of a '73 car on't web) http://i250.photobucket...

Re: Door Bins Pockets

You could try Lakewell.com?

Haven't seen their work but they look like a good setup and their pocket set is about half the price of Porsche?

I'd buy them but they only sell full sets and I only need the smaller, front, fixed pockets.

Re: Wanted: 6x15

Hmm...£2k for four or five wheels does sound a lot..but £400 or £500 for a single wheel sounds more do-able. Mine are dated 12/71...so none of Darren's wheels are that good a match... I'll keep searching for the while... Alternatively, if I can offload three 12/71 wheels and find three or four 12/72...

Thoughts on '75S on ebay

Could be interested in this: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/LHD-Porsche-911-S-LHD-Coupe-2-7-1975-MATCHING-NOS-1-PREVIOUS-OWNER-40-years-/151489381345 Seems a straight enough car. Did a '75S have electric seats or are these '80's seats? Also, are those front dash vents correct for the year? Not sure when ...

Fuchs - closest paint finish to anodised

Hey all, One of my 6Jx15s is cracked so I'm going to have it repaired and use it as a spare. I understand that a weld will show under the anodising so no point in having the wheel anodised - hence the intention to paint. So, anyone found a paint available in the UK that is anything close to an anodi...
