Re: D'Eser seats - still a good option?

:bounce: ...so, it's only taken me 2 and 1/2 years but I finally got round to installing the new seats last weekend. Lovely things. On the narrow side as people have said although I'm fairly slim and have nothing to compare them with and I suspect they'll 'relax' a bit with some use over time. Link ...

Re: D'Eser seats - still a good option?

Thanks again for all the feedback - really appreciated. Cesare has been fine to deal with via email although it's taking a little while to nail down a few things. Looks like I'll be placing an order with him as soon as he sends me his bank details. I'm going for the flat sliders with low mounting ad...

Ta for that link to GTS Classic's site - those look interesting as well.

Cesare sent me a link to their Facebook page where they've got a load of recent photos of various seats they've sold:-

Re: D'Eser seats - still a good option?

Many thanks for the feedback - I'll check out the BF Torino ones as well before placing an order. I found the seats sat too high in the car for me and my head touched the head lining so brackets were made up to drop the frames below the cills and all was well. Did you have their tilt and slide brack...

D'Eser seats - still a good option?

Hi all, I looked into getting some replica Recaro seats from Cesare at D'eser a couple of years ago for my '72 2.4T but never actually got round to going through with it (story of my life these days it seems!). So I've got in touch with Cesare again recently and have a price to get a pair of his 'Sp...

Re: Where to buy PMO Carbs?

Ditto to all the above, just email Richard and buy direct. The exchange rate is pretty good at the moment as well which is a help, but don't forget that you will get stung for some import taxes and VAT etc.

Lovely things - no better way to drink petrol.

Re: Contact details for Richard at PMO

Yeah, he was very quick to respond to my emails when I bought a set of his carbs last year so I guess he must have got over his phobia of the Interweb.

Re: Where to buy PMOs

I recently imported a set of 40mm PMOs direct from Richard to stick on my rebuilt T's engine. They run really well, starting is fine when warmed up, but takes a bit of pumping when cold (I think there's a knack I haven't quite got yet). Fuel consumption is great - they consume lots of fuel without a...

Re: Winter storage

Just a quick update on this one. I purchased a Ruby Dry D600 (£220 from http://www.dehumidifiers-direct.co.uk/ incl. next day delivery). Arrived yesterday so I stuck it in the garage last night. Last night the garage was at 6 degs C and 70% humidity and I set the Ruby to get it down to 60%. This mor...

Re: DDKers at Centre Gravity today !

Surprised no body has mentioned the fact that we all found out for definite that LHD early cars are the purer design  ..and I reckon when I get mine on the scales, it'll prove that the oil tank being in front of the rear wheel is even purer in terms of balance....at least when the engines not...

Re: DDKers at Centre Gravity today !

Great day out - very informative (I'm almost looking forward to dismantling my suspension now) and it was great to meet every one.

Chris, Jane, Peter and Sophie were excellent hosts and will definitely be getting my business in the future.

Thanks very much for organising this James!

Cheers, Ross.
