Re: New Car Woes - 1...Update

I'm sorry, but correcting this horrendous bodge with a less horrendous bodge is not going to be the way forward. I would baulk at a £5k bill as much (or probably more!!) than anyone, but I know that I wouldn't be happy with anything less than complete new pipes before I drove it again. You will hav...

Re: New Car Woes - 1...Update

I ran a light and camera down the sills in both directions and there are no ot...

Re: New Car Woes - 1...Update

It's still in the garage while I continue to get quotes I can't afford at the minute..... Might have to compression fit repair it in the ...

Re: Classics at the Castle

Most car shows now charge a nominal fee or no fee for people to display their car if booked in advance. That guarantees the show attendance and an actual show. They then charge more if you want to turn up on the day and display or are just a member of the public coming to see others cars. Seems the ...

Re: Classics at the Castle

Yeah, I know, I'm sorry: I said I don't mean to moan. It's just when you start to compare it to other ways of spending £30, you might start to wonder, that's all. Just a random example: the weekend beforehand it's the British GT championships at Brands Hatch. For £32 you get yourself entry tickets ...

Re: The shite ownership cycle

I was sick of this cycle also Graham, so why don't you do what I did? Spend 6 figures on a classic 911 that has had a ground up nut and bolt full restoration by a 'leading Porsche restorer' to 'like brand new' condition....so you never have to worry or go through all this expensive $hit on any badly...
