I would say if there was one thing that has improved our life more than any other in our build/reconstruction, it would be the wet underfloor heating system.

Got the car nicely warmed over this afternoon and spent a very pleasurable hour tuning the carbs. There's something very nice about listening intently to the fire breathing dragons and hearing their tone change infinitesimally as you turn the screws.
