Re: Chris Harris and the Tuthil 911

I’ve been lucky enough to see this car close up over the last few months. As impressive as the awesome performance is the custom car like quality of the build. Under the engine cover and in the boot it’s so clean - there are none off the ancillaries that are visible in my car. So clean, and a joy to...

Re: Gear knob retention / tolerance ring

The very part, thanks. Rose Passion have the part for four quid, shame it turns into £20 by the time they have finished.

Gear knob retention / tolerance ring

The gear knob on my '72 is almost completely unrestrained at present. I guess I could try a new tolerance ring - does anyone know a good source in the UK?

Alternatively, has anyone found a better way of retaining the knob?

Thanks, Jon

Re: lightened flywheel/clutch

Hi, AP Racing also make a lightweight clutch / flywheel package, that I have fitted to my car. It certainly speeds up the response. Mine is fitted with a rigid centre drive plate as per this link, which is the lowest inertia of all, but lacks any torsional damping so is a little rude around town (ta...

Re: 21st Century fuel lines

Unbelievable! 3 months ago, I implied that I was going to get straight on this. After another major intervention of real life into my garage time, I now have an opportunity to get on with it! Fetuhoe, I get the impression that you are in the trade in some way, and that you may be able to supply some...

Re: 911T progress so far

As Cortina says, the 2.4MFI had a warmed air inlet feed supplied via a flapper box to speed warm-up. I ditched mine when I fitted SSI manifolds, they don't have the stub to attach the feed to.

Plus, the engine looks cooler without all that stuff fitted!

21st Century fuel lines

Hello all, For a variety of disconnected reasons, my poor old 911 didn't see the road at all last year. I fired it up about a year ago over winter, but then all the other stuff in life took over & it didn't see the light of day in 2015. All of this must change for this year. In preparation, and ...

Re: Hotel de France and a few pics

Stand by for a nostalgia trip... In 1986, aged 20 and just out of my apprenticeship, I was lucky (though not sure I appreciated it at the time) to go to Le Mans to work. We took a van full of bits down to service customers in the paddock, and stayed at the Hotel de France. It was one of my first rac...

Re: >>>>>>>>>>>> DDK 2015 Calendar - ORDER HERE <<<<<<<<<<<<

Hey Tom,
Happy new year! Back at work for the first time today I realised there was a roughly A5-sized hole in my life - I've forgotten to order my DDK desk calendar! Do you have any left by any chance?

Cheers, Jon
