Don't drive the six, you'll just want one and then you will have a whole world of pain trying to find/afford one!

Hi Andy
Join the UK914 group on Facebook and ask the same question. I know of one 914 owner in the Southampton area who may be able to help you.

Little piece of dynamat

Has anybody got a little piece of sound deadening stick on mat?
I just need a bit about 30cm (1ft) square.
Seems a shame to gave to buy a box for just this little bit.
TIA

Re: 2.4T Engine rebuild advice

The other mods I did on my engine were the oil bypass mod and the oil pump upgrade. Both in the Dempsey book. One other thing I learned from experience was the camshaft oil squirter lines can easily get blocked. Whilst you have the cam carriers off give these a good wash and blow through and ensure ...

Re: Tartan Fabric

If you just want a tartan of your choice rather than one of the original Porsche plaid patterns then search for tartan fabric by colour.
The house of tartan and the Scotland shop sell it by the metre.

Re: Valve Adjustment!!

Perhaps they should have entitled it, "step by step guide", it's a pig of a job.
The using the wheel to turn the engine step is about the only thin you can do to make it easier.
You will spend a dirty hour or two under your car. Do it quick before it gets to cold!

Gearbox recommissioning

I have a 901 gearbox from my 914 which has been standing for 25+ years. I can select the gears and the input shaft & output drive shafts seems to rotate ok. I am getting to the stage in my 914 restoration where I will be ready to install the engine and box. I was wondering if there is anything I...
