Re: Well Known DDK 1973 911

Thanks guys. Very kind words. Darren, if you know anyone who would like to pay more, I will gladly accept more :-) I've done circa 500 miles in the last 2 years or so and 400+ of those were to visit Barry's workshop earlier this year where it ran from Leicestershire to East Sussex and back without i...

Re: Any audiophiles on here?

what do y'all think of B+O, cool or fool? Cool! I boxed up and put away my late 90's mid range technics seperates system a year ago and now run a late 60's/ early 70's B&O Receiver with a matching B&O record deck. And use a connector for the iThingy's on the Tape input. And yes, I also boug...

Re: Scottish Trip

Nice. I have stayed at The Torridon hotel a few years ago. Very nice selection of whiskies indeed. I just did Port Glasgow to Oban on Tuesday night in 2 hours dead leaving Port Glasgow at 8PM. Sadly in the daily. An awesome road and I'd love to do it in the daytime in the 911 as it doesn't have the ...

Re: What did you do in/on/for your Porsche today?

Wished I was in the 911 instead of the Volvo whilst on the A85 from Oban to Edinburgh this morning. Only had to overtake 3 camper vans and an old boy in a Merc. Bliss. And on Tuesday night where I saw circa a dozen cars on the road when en route from Port Glasgow to Oban. I've never ever wanted to t...

Re: The definitive early seatbelt thread ?

Does anyone have some photos of both the correct belts and receivers for a German spec 1970T? Thanks Paul Hi Paul, the first pic on the first post in this thread is what your car will most likely have came with. 3 point static seatbelts. So these are definitely wrong for a 1970T then? See answer ab...

An ancient LDV van had been used as a getaway van     ----------- Jimmy If you think that is funny, 10 to 15 years ago, my cousins Nissan Micra was used as a getaway vehicle from an armed robbery in leeds, a fortnight after it was stolen from North Sheffield. I'd expect that you...

The Good, Bad and Expensive news, part 2

Evening, I've not posted on here in a while. I have been spending my spare time with my 3 year old daughter in recent times and family health issues have also been both surprising and challenging. But other than that, we've been preparing for something much more important… So, those of you with good...

Re: '74 onward fixed rear 1/4 window trims in polished/chrom

I bought new anodised/polished ally trim for under my opening rear quarters last year. Was under £50 a side iirc from opc. Would have to check the invoice/speak to my garage to confirm. Re-polishing my existing black painted ones was a similar price if they were in a good enough condition to start w...

what about the triumph ITB/megasquirt route? I'm hoping to do that to my SC. Graham Graham, Nobody to my knowledge has gone down the Triumph/MegaSquirt road with a 3.0 yet.. Installation of such a system on my 2.4E is described warts and all on Ian Comerfords thread here: http://www.impactbumpers.c...

Re: Recaro sports seat recliner hinge rhd 1973 911E

In probable order of rising cost. Have you spoken to D'eser and the other replica seat companies to see if they sell these seperately as spares? The Deser ones look identical to the real things or to the ones on my SC sports seats at least. Have you spoken with Southbound to see if they have any tha...
