I doubt this will be of interest but I have a couple of really nice self-locking struts (from rennline IIRC) but they are aluminium and carbon. I suppose you could spray the carbon black. They are nicely made - the bonnet locks open and then lifting it slightly unlocks it With my AC they will no lo...

+1 Sladey. We are here and following with interest. I keep flip flopping between aircon and ITBs - so I’m keen to see how complex it actually is to fit!
