Thanks Nige - after posting I called the mechanic who prepared the car and he said exactly the same thing - so that's reassuring! Now I know. :)

Got it!

Morning all - well, picked my A up yesterday and have to say I am absolutely delighted. Love it. Already had complete strangers stopping me to ask about the car and just say nice things. This is new to me because I usually drive a Range Rover. People wave at me in that as well, but not normally in t...

Johnny - congrats my man! Lovely looking car! I'm hoping to collect my 356 in two weeks time now, so can imagine how pleased you must be to finally get yours! Great colour too....

Funny you mention the Viper Green one. I called Hairpin and left 4 messages for them over 4 days asking someone to call back as I was interested in that but also a GP White 911 Turbo they had in. They never called back. Shame - they look like they have good stock, but if they can't be bothered to ca...

Indeed - does seem rather chunky! I sometimes wonder if this is how the prices start rising though. A good car goes up at an unexpectedly high price, then everyone gets excited and thinks "better buy one if that's the way prices are going" - and hey presto, the prices start going up! It's ...

Aaah - Bootsy, does that mean I can look forward to getting my tax disc holder too? Looking forward to proudly displaying it in my 356A!

Steve - that looks superb - top job! I'm hoping to get something going myself in next few months (but just bought a 356A so will probably wait until after Christmas now). What did you use as your "base" car? And who did the work please? It looks stunning - very impressed! :thumbright: All ...

Hi all - if you have a look at Maxted Page's website they are currently selling a superb looking Carrera (it was featured in one of the Porsche mags last month I think? GT Purely Porsche perhaps?) If I hadn't just bought a 356A I'd be taking a drive over to look at it myself. If you read the info on...

Les - I'd recommend calling Paul at PR Services in Billericay; www.prs356.com. I looked at buying a 356 from him recently and was very impressed by the whole set up. They seem to do a lot of very good 'replica' work. In fact I'm hoping to get an early 911 in next few months to do my own replica and ...

Wingnut - I saw that car as well - identical apart from the wheels. Did you happen to go up during the Easter Bank Holiday weekend? They were doing a photo shoot on the Good Friday, and Josh mentioned someone had been up that morning to look at the £35k one (the one I was looking at). For me it all ...

Fair enough - I'm obviously a bit out of touch on earlier prices! Autofarm tend to hold pretty good stock, but I guess it comes down to how tidy it really is. I looked at their Blood Orange RHD recently (non-matching numbers) which is £10k less - makes an interesting comparison at the mom...

911 S

Anyone seen the 911 S on Autofarm's website - blue, matching numbers, LHD - £46k. Does that seem a bit chunky? I thought you could get good matching numbers RHD for about £50k, so would have thought LHD would be nearer £40k?
